Pradeep Poudel sees need of electing party leadership by public

PALPA: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Pradeep Poudel has stressed the need for a provision to elect the party leadership at a civic level.

Speaking at a program in Palpa, NC leader Poudel proposed idea of granting the right to the public to elect party leadership so that, as he argued, the party could get a competent leadership.

He was also concerned about the growing culture of ‘groupism’ within the party.

“Groupism has been the characteristic of the party that carries a glorious history for its successful roles in each critical period in the country,” he added.
