Massive fire engulfs Janakpur Big Mart

JANAKPURDHAM: A fire engulfed Janakpur Big Mart last night, resulting in significant losses estimated at around Rs 10 crores.

The blaze, which erupted suddenly at 11 pm, was brought under control by the joint efforts of Janakpurdham sub-metropolitan city, neighboring municipalities, the police, local residents, and other responders.

In the wake of the inferno, all merchandise within the mart was consumed by the flames, and the building itself sustained substantial damage.

Rambabu Raye, the mart’s owner, revealed that he received word of the fire’s outbreak at 11 pm.

He further disclosed that the inventory within the mart had an estimated value of Rs. 4.5 million, and the structural damage was so severe that the total losses exceeded Rs. 10 million.
