Rolpa bus mishap claims four lives, 14 injured



ROLPA: A devastating bus accident in Rolpa’s Bagmara en route to Dang’s Ghorahi has resulted in the untimely demise of four individuals, with an additional 14 passengers left wounded.

The accident took place at Triveni-7, Gairigaon, Rolpa.

According to local reports, the ill-fated Na 5 kha 2612 bus plummeted a staggering 50 meters off the road during the mishap.

The incident occurred today around 1 pm, as the bus was careening at a notably high velocity before spiraling out of control.

Regrettably, among those affected is a missing child whose whereabouts are currently under extensive search operations conducted by local residents.

The identities of the deceased victims are yet to be ascertained.

District Superintendent of Police (DSP) Shyam Saru Magar informed that upon receiving immediate notification of the tragic event, a dedicated police unit led by a police inspector was promptly dispatched from the district headquarters. The Chief District Officer and police authorities were duly apprised of the calamity by 1:30 pm.

Injured survivors, including the bus driver, have been expeditiously transferred to the District Hospital for necessary medical attention, as confirmed by law enforcement officials.
