KATHMANDU: Minister for Federal Affairs and General Administration, Aman Lal Modi, has said that the government would table the Federal Civil Service Act in the Parliament to strengthen the federal administration.

“The draft of the Act has been prepared by holding discussion with stakeholders. If not today, it will be presented in the Cabinet next day,” he mentioned.

Minister Modi argued that the Act would resolve the problems seen in implementation of administrative federalism.

Sharing that an arrangement has been made where employees should be present in the office as per the determined quota in order to maintain administrative reforms, he added that employees who served in remote areas are going to be transferred to urban areas.

“The Ministry has sought application from employees who have not got opportunity of posting in remote areas for their transfer in the place of their choice,” shared Minister Modi.

He mentioned that he started administrative reforms even after bearing political and administrative interference and pressure.
