UML agrees to ensure uninterrupted Parliament session



KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML party has made a commitment to refrain from obstructing the proceedings of the House of Representatives during its session.

This decision comes in the wake of Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Narayankaji Shrestha’s assurance to address queries related to the gold smuggling case.

The Whip of CPN-UML, the main opposition party, Mahesh Bartaula, conveyed that a joint discussion among the top leaders of the three major political parties took place at the official residence of the Prime Minister in Baluwatar.

During this discussion, it was mutually agreed to facilitate the smooth functioning of the House.

Home Minister Shrestha is slated to present his statement before the House of Representatives today.

The session of the House of Representatives is scheduled for 3 pm later today.
