UML obstructs Madhesh Assembly over budget transfer issue

JANAKPURDHAM: Main opposition CPN-UML has disrupted the Madhesh state assembly meeting on Saturday.

UML, which had given a vote of confidence to the Madhesh Chief Minister Saroj Kumar Yadav, has accused Finance Minister Sanjay Kumar Yadav of arbitrarily transferring millions of rupees.

The UML blocked the provincial assembly as soon as the meeting began on Saturday.

UML Parliamentary Party Deputy Leader Dipendra Thakur said that the meeting will not be allowed unless Chief Minister Saroj Yadav gives an answer to the irregularities committed by the Finance Minister through budget transfers.

After that, Speaker Ram Chandra Mandal adjourned the meeting for 10 minutes. After bringing the budget on June 16, the province assembly meeting was held on Saturday 23rd day to discuss the budget.
