Constitutional Council meeting underway at Singha Durbar



KATHMANDU: The meeting of the Constitutional Council (CC) is underway at Singha Durbar.

The meeting started a little while ago, according to the Prime Minister’s Secretariat.

Speaker Devraj Ghimire, leader of the opposition party KP Oli, National Assembly Chairman Ganesh Prasad Timilsina, Deputy Speaker Indira Rana, and Law Minister Dhanraj Gurung are attending the meeting.

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda has called the meeting last Saturday.

The previous meeting held to recommend the appointment of the Chief Justice ended without any conclusion.

In today’s meeting, the leaders are discussing to recommend the appointment of the Chief Justice.
