SC issues short-term interim order not to execute action against Dhaka Kumar Shrestha

KATHMANDU: The Supreme Court has given a short-term interim order on Monday urging not to implement the decision of revoking the post of lawmaker of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) leader Dhaka Kumar Shrestha.

The single bench of Justice Til Prasad Shrestha gave a short-term interim order to the former lawmaker Shrestha not to execute the action immediately.

However, whether leader Shrestha can join the parliament will be clear once the written order is made available.

Former lawmaker Shrestha had filed a petition in the Supreme Court against his party’s decision to revoke his position as a lawmaker and also cancel his party membership.
