HoR to start pre-budget discussion from today



KATHMANDU: Starting today, the House of Representatives (HoR) will start pre-budget discussions in preparation for the budget.

According to the Parliament Secretariat, the House will convene at 11 am this morning at the Federal Parliament Building in New Baneswar.

The possible agenda for today’s House meeting includes a discussion on the principles and priorities of the upcoming year’s pre-budget as presented by the government.

This meeting is part of the budget session, which commenced on Sunday following a call from President Ram Chandra Paudel.

During the session, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Devraj Ghimire, provided details of the letter received from the President regarding the session’s convening.

After the discussion, Finance Minister Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat is expected to be present to answer any queries.
