KMC to remove tangled cables from today

KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has decided to remove the telephone and internet cables that are tangled on the utility poles in Kathmandu from today.

KMC Police Chief Raju Nath Pandey said that the KMC will manage the wire from Maitighar Mandala to the Tribhuvan International Airport via New Baneswar, and from New Road to Basantpur via Ason in the first phase.

The KMC has already asked representatives of the Nepal Electricity Authority, Telecommunication Authority, Nepal Telecom, Kathmandu Valley Police Office, Metropolitan Police Force and Internet Service Providers to be present on the site.
