KATHMANDU: A 12-point agreement has been reached between the Janamat Party led by CK Raut and the Nagarik Unmukti Party formed by Resham Chaudhary.

These two parties, which have supported the Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’-led government, signed a 12-point agreement on Sunday deciding to unite both the parties.

In the agreement signed by Janamat Party Chairman Raut and Nagarik Unmukti Party Chair Ranjita Shrestha, issues such as initiatives to release Resham Chaudhary and others convicted in the Tikapur incident, the passage of the ordinance introduced by the Sher Bahadur Deuba government, and initiatives to publicize the report of the Red Commission have been included.

Janamat Party has 6 parliamentarians and Unmukti Party has 4 in the House of Representatives.
