IGP Kunwar leaves for UK



KATHMANDU: Inspector General of Nepal Police Basanta Bahadur Kunwar left for the UK on Saturday.

A 4-member team of senior police officers of Nepal Police under the leadership of Kunwar left for Britain on Saturday.

The ‘Integrated Program for Strengthening Security and Justice’ is being held in Britain from October 9 to 13. Officials including Inspector General Kunwar will participate in the program on behalf of Nepal.

Deputy Inspector General of Police Bishnu Kumar KC, Senior Superintendent of Police Dan Bahadur Karki, and Shekhar Khanal are in the team. In this program, high officials of Nepal Police and UK Police are prepared to meet and exchange experiences on security, investigation, and justice.

After Inspector General Kunwar left abroad, Additional Inspector General of Police Tek Prasad Rai took over the daily administrative work of Nepal Police Headquarters.
