Pre-booking for Dashain tickets to open on October 9



KATHMANDU: Transport entrepreneurs have agreed to open pre-booking for Dashain festival tickets on October 9, facilitating the journey back home.

Bijay Swar, President of the National Federation of Transport Entrepreneurs, announced this decision, highlighting that the government will address road potholes, while entrepreneurs will manage buses and ticket reservations.

Swar expressed readiness to collaborate with the Minister of Infrastructure and the Director General of the Transport Management Department in this regard.

During Dashain, around 2 million passengers depart from Kathmandu Valley.

According to Swar, advance ticket booking will be opened to go to places like Dhangadhi, Tikapur, Bajhang, Bajura, Salyan, Rukum, Pyuthan, Rolpa in the west and Taplejung, Ilam, Kakadvitta, Udayapur, Biratnagar, Dharan, and other places in the east.

The transport businessmen have also requested the relevant agencies to facilitate the operation of transport by maintaining good condition of the major roads networks of the country.

Public vehicles have been plying from the new bus park to more than 66 districts across the country.
