NA defuses grenade bomb found in Kailali

KAILALI: The Nepali Army (NA) team defused a grenade bomb found in a drain behind the under-construction Area Police Office building in Ghodaghodi-1 Sukhad, Kailali.

The explosive material (bomb) was found while the workers were digging drains on Friday morning.

After the workers reported to the police, the bomb disposal team of the Nepali Army from Badhaipur in the district defused it, said Birendra Bir Bishwakarma, the head of the local police office.

The grenade bomb may have been hidden during the Maoist movement period, the police said.
