Arrest warrants have been issued against five former government Secretaries involved in the Lalita Niwas land grab scam in Baluwatar. The police, armed with the warrants obtained from the court, have initiated an investigation into the actions of Yuvaraj Bhusal, Deep Basnyat, Chabiraj Panta, Dinesh Hari Adhikari, and Narayan Gopal Malego, who were implicated in the decision to transfer government land in the Lalita Niwas area to private individuals.

Supreme Court gives green light to CIB for probing Fraud and Organized Crime

The Supreme Court (SC) has ordered the cancellation of the interim order issued earlier not to arrest 17 people in the Lalita Niwas Land Grab Case. The Apex Court ordered that 17 people who received an interim order granting permission for trial without keeping in detention should also be informed and presented during the hearing like others.

Man kills self after murdering wife in Ilam

A man has killed himself after murdering his wife at Maijogmai Rural Municipality-2 in Ilam district. Police said that Pitambar Khatiwada, 56, committed suicide after killing his 52-year-old spouse, Radhika. Superintendent of Police (SP) of Ilam Dilip Kumar Ghimire said Radhika is the first wife of Pitambar.

Artist Saruk Tamrakar found dead at his home in Ratopul

Artist Sarook Tamrakar has been found dead at his house in Kathmandu’s Ratopul. He was found dead last night at his house, SP Sitaram Rizal, spokesperson of District Police Circle, Kathmandu, stated.

NC holds District Presidents’ meeting even today

The Nepali Congress (NC) held a meeting of district presidents today as well. A total of 42 district presidents and representatives from 18 districts are participating in the meeting, taking place at the NC party central office in Sanepa.

Koshi Province government unconstitutional: Dr. Bhattarai
