HoR meeting taking place today

CPN-UML likely to obstruct House proceedings

KATHMANDU: A meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) is scheduled to take place at the Federal Parliament today.

The meeting on Wednesday was postponed due to obstruction by the CPN-UML, the main opposition party.

The CPN-UML objected to the controversial statement made by Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, who had previously claimed that Sardar Pritam Singh repeatedly visited Delhi to make him the country’s Prime Minister.

The CPN-UML has maintained its firm stance of not allowing the Parliament to function until Prime Minister Dahal resigns.

In response, the ruling coalition has firmly stated that Prime Minister Dahal will not step down coming under the pressure of CPN-UML.
