Bhanu Municipality to provide scholarship



TANAHU: Bhanu Municipality in Tanahu district has decided to provide scholarship to students from poor families and pursuing technical education.

In the fiscal year, 2079/80, a total of 24 students will be provided the scholarship. The students who are diligent and from poor families, and pursuing 3-year technical education would be entitled to the scholarship.

Education Section Chief at the municipality, Dhrub Raj Poudel, shared this information.

Two students from each ward will be given the stipend which is believed to contribute to their learning, thereby making them self-dependent and self-employed in future.

The 3-year technical education is skill oriented education aimed at developing self-employment and entrepreneurship.

The municipality has issued a technical education scholarship work procedure, 2079.

As per the procedure, each student will be provided Rs 50,000 per year for three years.

The students selected for this fiscal year are those doing Diploma in Civil Engineering from Homraj Lohani Sharada Institute.

They are Ujjwal Poudel, Ishwori Thapa, Kamala Timilsina, Krisha Tamang, Rojina Nepali, Ashish Rana Magar, Naresh Bote, Anil Kandel, Bishal Kumal, Bikas Adhikari, Santosh Tiwari, Ayush Gurung, Abhisek Nepali, Roshani Tamang and Sandhip Shahi.

Similarly, the students doing Diploma in Agriculture (Agronomy and Livestock) at Tribhuvan Secondary School will be awarded the scholarships.

They are Barsha Kunwar, Kushal Adhikari, Ashmita Adhikari, Sushan Pariyar, Muskan Devkota, Ashika Gurung, Sandesh Thapa, Bhumika Sunar and Shreejal Pandit. Mayor Anand Raj Tripathi informed that the decision to provide scholarships was taken to help financially poor students in education.

“Our assistance will help attract students towards technical education and foster self-employment and entrepreneurship,” he shared.
