Nepal’s Ambassador to Pakistan Adhikari urges translation of goodwill into economic cooperation



KATHMANDU: Nepal’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Tapas Adhikari, held a meeting with the Karachi Chambers of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) President Mohammad Tariq Yousuf and office bearers.

During the meeting, he shared the features of Nepal-Pakistan relations that both countries enjoy an excellent bilateral relationship based on friendship, mutual trust and cooperation and urged the business leaders of Karachi and Pakistan to translate the goodwill of the two countries into economic cooperation and interactions.

According to the Nepali Embassy in Pakistan, Adhikari shared Nepal’s economic policies to attract foreign direct investment, which he claimed could be useful to them to promote trade and investment.

Ambassador Adhikari also visited the Rice Exporters Association of Pakistan (REAP) and had a discussion on rice, pulses, tea, cardamom, ginger, sugar and other commodities trade between Nepal and Pakistan.

Welcoming Ambassador Adhikari, Chela Ram Kewlani and other members of the Association shared the activities of the Association and their interest to improve the business link between Nepal and Pakistan.

Similarly, Ambassador Adhikari also held a meeting with Travel Agent Association of Pakistan Central Chairman Nadeem Iqbal and other members of the Association in Karachi.

During the meeting, they discussed the travel and tour cooperation between Nepal and Pakistan and to provide best tourists products and services to tourists who wish to visit Nepal, according to the Embassy.
