Prime Minister Dahal and UML Chairman Oli hold talks

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister (PM) Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda and CPN-UML President KP Sharma Oli held talks on various issues, including the election of the country’s President.

Prime Minister’s Secretariat said during the meeting held at the Prime Minister’s official residence, Baluwatar, the two leaders discussed issues such as the President’s election, and government functioning, among others.

The President’s election is taking place on March 9, 2023.

During the formation of the government, the two party leaders had reached an agreement that the CPN-UML would get the post of President.

However, UML is suspicious after Prime Minister Prachanda announced the need for a national consensus on electing the President.
