Putha Uttarganga collecting data of literates



RUKUM EAST: Putha Uttarganga Rural Municipality of Rukum Purba is all set to collect data of children, who are out of school, and illiterate citizens.

The rural municipality imparted training to enumerators and mobilized one enumerator each in 14 wards of the rural municipality for the same.

Chief of education section at Putha Uttarganga Rural Municipality, Ram Prasad Khadka, said data of the children, who are out of school, and illiterate people was being collected targeting the local curriculum which was also being develop by the rural municipality.

The enumerators would collect the details, including children who are out of schools and details of the illiterate people along with profession, business and population, he shared.

Khadka expressed the view that it would help in developing local curriculum, finding out the number of children, who are out of schools.

Similarly, it is expected that it would be easier to formulate program to make illiterate people literate.

Although the district has been already declared fully-literate one, the accurate data of illiterate people is going to be collected at a time when all people in the rural municipality are not literate.
