President Bhandari travels to Patandhoka in Sajha bus



KATHMANDU: President Bidya Devi Bhandari today reached Patandhoka, Lalitpur in an electric Sajha bus.

She boarded the bus from her official residence, Sheetal Niwas in the afternoon.

The President clad in the Newari cultural attire was welcomed by Lalitpur Metropolitan City Mayor Chiri Babu Maharjan.

Mayor Maharjan garlanded her while welcoming at Patan.

On the occasion, the Head of the State also inspected the Madan Puraskar Library at Patandhoka.

She also observed the hand-written inscription of ‘Shree Swasthani Brata Katha’ at the library before walking to ‘Pimbahal:Pukhu’ (a pond), also known as Jagamadu pond, for the observation.

At the site, the President was greeted with Newari hymns, and she enquired about the history of the pond. After the visit, she returned the Sheetal Niwas in the electric Sajha bus.
