Aaha Gold Cup Final: Sankata locking horns with Bhutanese Club

KATHMANDU: Sankata Club and Bhutanese Youth Sports Club of US are vying for the title of the Aaha Rara Pokhara Gold Cup.

The final match of the 22nd edition of the tournament will start at 1:30 pm later today at the Pokhara stadium.

Sankata Club of Kathmandu secured its place in the final by defeating the Armed Police Force (APF) Football Club by 4-1.

Likewise, Bhutanese Youth Sports Club got better of Church Boys United by 1-0 to book a berth in the final match.

A total of ten teams participated in the competition which started on December 29.

The winner of the competition will walk home with a cash prize of Rs. 1.2 million while the runner-up will get Rs. 600 thousand along with trophies, medals and certificates.
