Fake Bhutanese Refugee Case: Hearing on Khand’s plea set for Dec 14
The Patan High Court has slated to hear the petition of former minister Bal Krishna Khand, currently in custody pending trial for the fake Bhutanese refugee case, on December 14. Earlier, during a division bench session on December 1, Judges Prakash Kharel and Janak Pandey decided to refer the dispute to a third judge for further hearing as the Judges duo failed to reach consensus on their decision in Khand’s case.

Initiation of insurance payouts to families of earthquake victims commences in Jajarkot
The distribution of insurance amounts to the families of people killed in the earthquake that struck Jajarkot on November 3 has begun. The amount has been handed to the families of 29 of the 56 people who were killed in the disaster in Nalgad Municipality, said Krishna Bahadur GC, spokesperson for the Karnali province government and the Minister for Internal Affairs and Law.
Finance Committee directs NTA to submit details on sale of Ncell shares within 15 days
The Finance Committee under the House of Representatives has directed the Nepal Telecommunications Authority (NTA) to submit the details with factual information within 15 days on the issues relating to sale of Ncell shares. The Committee enquired about the issue after calling the NTA for the discussion on Wednesday.
NEPSE sees modest single-digit increase on Wednesday
The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) marked a nominal growth of 3.3 points on Wednesday, the fourth trading day of the week. The stock market in a continuous downtrend before closed with a positive note of nominal growth of 3.3 points and concluding at 1841.04 points.
