BAGLUNG: The Bagluing festival is to be held from 21 December 2023 to 6 January 2024 for tourism promotion and local product marketization.
The Baglung Chamber of Commerce and Industry is hosting the festival. Chamber Chairperson Naresh Kandel said that the decision was taken to host the festival to revitalize the market when trade and business volume were declining in Baglung of late.
As many as 120 exhibition stalls, including that of agro and domestic products, herbal stuffs and handicrafts will be placed in the festival, he said, adding local goods and services will be exhibited in the stalls.
The festival that has been taking place every three years was put on hold last time due to COVID-19 impacts.
Various events such as men’s volleyball tournaments, and dance and folk song competitions are to be held.
The slogan of the festival is ‘Tourism, agriculture, art, culture, industry and trade; Foundation of building prosperous Baglung’.
