NPC starts holding provincial level discussion for 16th Plan



KATHMANDU: The National Planning Commission (NPC) has started holding provincial-level discussion after forming separate teams for the preparations of the 16th Plan.

As part of it, the commission is holding a discussion in Madhes Province today. According to Yamlal Bhusal, the commission spokesperson, a team led by the commission has been mobilized in all provinces to discuss the draft of the Plan.

The program has been postponed for the time being in Karnali Province due to a natural disaster.

To discuss, suggest, amend, and approve the concept paper and the full document of the Plan, a committee under the coordination of Dr. Min Bahadur Shrestha, the commission vice chairperson, a sectoral sub-committee under the coordination of the commission members, and a technical committee under the coordination of the heads of the division have been formed.

It will prepare the Plan after collecting suggestions from the provincial government, local government, and private sector. The current 15th Plan is ending with this fiscal year.
