Navaraj Sharma elected as CPN-UML Gandaki Chairman



POKHARA: Navaraj Sharma, a member of the Prithvisubba Gurung panel within CPN-UML Gandaki, has been elected as the party Chairman of Gandaki Province.

According to Chief Electoral Officer Surendra Thapa Magar, Sharma secured 531 votes, defeating his opponent Mayanath Adhikari, a Standing Committee member, who garnered 365 votes.

Likewise, Min Bahadur Gurung was elected as the vice chairman with 534 votes, surpassing his rival Baburam Biswakarma, who received 362 votes.

Dhananjaya Dawadi retained his position as Secretary with 520 votes, while his competitor Rashmi Acharya obtained 376 votes.

Dam Bahadur Biswakarma got elected as deputy secretary with 499 votes, defeating Santosh Rawal, who received 397 votes.

Out of a total of 907 eligible voters, 896 people participated in the election, which employed 33 voting machines.
