Industry registration fees increase in Karnali, discount facility to specific groups



KARNALI: The Karnali Province government has brought a policy of industrial tax discount targeting women, dalits, people with disabilities and backward communities so as to promote their participations in enterprises.

According to the latest Industry Regulations issued by the provincial government, eligible groups will be entitled to receive discounts of up to 50 percent when registering or renewing their industries.

However, the province government has hiked the industry registration and renewal charges being based on the investment of capital.

Industries are categorized into five groups based on their capital investment, and the registration fees vary accordingly.

The industry are categorized as those having the capital up to 500 thousands, industry with the capital up to one million, industries with up to two million, up to five million and industries having capital above five million.

The registration charge for these industries is in the range of Rs 1,000 to Rs 30,000.
