Radhakrishna Kandel elected UML’s Lumbini Province Chairman



LUMBINI: Radhakrishna Kandel of Palpa has been elected as the Chairman of CPN-UML Lumbini Province.

In the election held in Butwal, Kandel, also the former Chairman won the election by beating Hari Rijal of Pyuthan, a central member, by 2 votes.

Out of the total 965 votes cast, Kandel got 479 votes. His competitor Rijal got 477 votes.

Similarly, according to the final voting results of other officebearers, Bhoj Prasad Shrestha of Kandel faction, won by getting 455 votes.

Bishwaraj Baral Anup of Rijal faction got 306 votes for the post of Vice Chairman.

Laxman Acharya of Dang from Kandel faction was elected unopposed for the post of Secretary.

Similarly, Purna Budha Magar from Rolpa of Rijal faction won by getting 418 votes while his competitor Durga Prasad Tharu from Banke got 393 votes.
