Lumbini province budget approved with majority



LUMBINI: The budget of Lumbini province government for the fiscal year 2080/81 was approved with a majority.

A meeting of the province assembly on Wednesday endorsed the budget for the next fiscal year.

Province Minister for Finance Dhan Bahadur Maski had presented a bill seeking consideration for the endorsement of the executive budget proposal at the province assembly.

Speaker Tularam Gharti announced that the budget proposal was endorsed with majority on the basis of voice vote.

The Finance Minister had presented a budget of around Rs 40 billion 479 million for the fiscal 2080/81 in the province assembly on behalf of the government.

Lumbini province government has come up with a budget of Rs 13 billion 633 million (33.68 percent) towards recurrent category, Rs 23 billion 256.9 million towards capitalized category (57.45 percent) and Rs 3 .58 billion (8.87 percent) towards fiscal management.
