KATHMANDU: The Election Commission (EC) is publishing the final list of candidates contesting the by-election to be held on April 23 today.
The EC is also providing the election symbols to the candidates today itself, according to EC.
The process for the April 23 by-election will formally begin today after the candidates get the election symbols.
In the election held on November 20 last year, Ram Chandra Paudel was elected from Tanahun-1.
Paudel’s constituency was vacant after he was elected President.
Likewise, Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav elected from Bara-2 was elected as Vice President and Rabi Lamichhane elected from Chitwan-2 was dismissed as the Member of Parliament because of his citizenship dispute.
