NC has not offered PM post to RPP: Chief whip Lekhak

KATHMANDU: The chief whip of Nepali Congress (NC) Ramesh Lekhak has clarified that his party has not proposed to Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) for the prime minister.

Speaking to the media at Parliament House complex in New Baneshwor on Friday, the NC chief whip stated that his party did not propose RPP as the Prime Minister.

He also dismissed the news about NC attempts to break the UML-Maoist Center-led coalition and said that his party has no plan to form the new equation to dismantle the government.

NC leader Lekhak said that NC will make the party’s position on the vote of confidence to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’-led government after the parliamentary party meeting to be held on Saturday morning.

The Prime Minister is scheduled to take a vote of confidence in the meeting of the House of Representatives to be convened at 11 am on January 10.
