Manakamana cable car resumes operation after maintenance



GORKHA: The Manakamana Cable Car which carries visitors to the popular religious site of Gorkha, Manakamana Temple, has resumed its operation today (Friday).

The cable car which was closed after damage caused to its panel board due to a short supply of power has come to regular operation after 11 days.

Cable Car Proprietor Rajesh Babu Shrestha informed that technicians and equipment were brought from Austria to fix the issue.

Cable service has come into operation since this morning, he shared. Station Manager Ujjwol Sherchan informed that the cable car has come into smooth operation after the installation of new instruments and testing the service.

Manakamana cable car was completely closed after its panel board caught fire on December 26.
