All-party meet being held to set agenda for HoR’s first meeting



KATHMANDU: An all-party meeting is being held today afternoon to set the agenda for the first meeting of the House of Representation (HoR).

The first meeting of the first session of the HoR will be held on January 9.

Senior Member of Parliament Pashupati Shumsher Rana has called an all-party meeting to set the agenda.

Party whips and representatives from parliamentary parties as well as independent lawmakers have been invited to the meeting.

The meeting will discuss the process of conducting the meeting and approving the rules of the House of Representatives for the election process of the Speaker, among others.

It is said that the preparation of the government’s vote of confidence and the President’s address will also be discussed in Friday’s meeting.

A total of 12 parties are represented in the House of Representatives.
