KATHMANDU: The District Administration Office (DAO) Kathmandu has enforced a ‘time card’ system in various kinds of services provided by the Office starting Thursday.
The duration required to receive 10 different services available from the office has been fixed with the provision implemented for four services.
Accordingly, the time set for acquiring one’s citizenship certificate is one hour, 30 minutes for organisation renewal, one hour for obtaining minor’s certificate and 30 minutes for getting the date for a case.
Likewise, the distribution of national identity card which is ready is 30 minutes and 15 minutes for passport distribution.
The time has been set for other services as well and will be implemented in the near future, the DAO said.
Chief District Officer Ghanshyam Upadhyay expressed the belief that the new provision will make the service delivery more efficient and effective.
In addition to this, an arrangement has been made to provide direct service to women with disabilities and lactating, as well as those over 65 years of age.
