EPS-TOPIK: 15,000 jobs for Nepali workers, EPS Korea sets Test dates and criteria

KATHMANDU: South Korea’s request for an additional 15,000 Nepali workers has set the stage for the application process. Under the agreement made at the government level between Nepal and South Korea 15,848 slots are designated for Employment Permit System (EPS) candidates.

EPS Korea Branch has specifically sought workers for the manufacturing sector, initiating the application phase for the language test. The application window is set to span from December 18 to 22.

Applicants excelling in the language test will advance to the skill assessment phase. Eligibility for employment application submission is contingent upon passing both the skill and health tests.

Prospective candidates, aged between 18 and 39, can apply for the language test by online means only, with a test fee of $28 USD as outlined in the notification.

The examination process, scheduled for four daily shifts, might undergo modifications based on applicant volume. Should the number of applicants warrant it, the exam could proceed in two stages—first and second. Detailed examination information is slated for publication on February 5, 2024, by the branch.
