Blood donation held on Traffic Week

KATHMANDU: A blood donation program was held on Wednesday as part of the ongoing Road Safety and Traffic Week.

The program, technically assisted by the Nepal Police Hospital, was organized at the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, where Deputy Inspector General of Police, Poshraj Pokhrel, was the first donor.

A total of 120 participants, including police personnel based in the Kathmandu Valley, former police employees, and traffic volunteers, participated in the event.

According to Senior Superintendent of Police and Office Spokesperson, Rajendra Prasad Bhatta, public awareness programmes, school-focused initiatives, orientation to drivers, health checkup services, mobilization of students and scout members as traffic volunteers and distribution of stickers and pamphlets are the parts of traffic week that commenced on October 1.
