“Hello Sarkar” should work as bridge between govt and public: PM

Minister (PM) Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has emphasized the need to develop the “Hello Sarkar” as a bridge between government and the public and a center for good governance.

He also directed the concerned officials to initiate legal and structural reforms.

PM Dahal also emphasized the continuation of the monitoring and evaluation of the national pride projects for which he directed to create of a virtual interactive monitoring calendar that would enable the monitoring and evaluating of at least two mega projects weekly from the ‘Action Room’ situated at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers (OPMCM).

Each nation should honor legitimate interests of other nations: KP Oli

CPN-UML chair and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has stressed the need for each country to respect the legitimate interests of others while promoting their national interests.

Stating that mutual interests and respect should be reciprocally maintained, he said it would be an injustice to merely advance the national interest of a country ignoring mutual benefits and recognition of others.

A policy of negation could not produce positive results, he said at an event with the theme of ‘Current international situation and CPN (UML)’s view on Nepal’s foreign policy’ organized here on Saturday by the party’s Department of Foreign Affairs.

PM Dahal initiates negotiations with Gaur Massacre Victims’ families

In response to the ongoing struggle of the Gaur Massacre Victims’ Struggle Committee, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has taken a significant step by meeting with the families of the victims.

Following a personal invitation from Prime Minister Dahal, the Gaur Massacre Victims Struggle Committee’s team assembled at Baluwatar on Saturday morning.

During the meeting at Baluwatar, both parties reached a crucial agreement to establish a negotiation team led by the Home Secretary. The team will address the demands put forward by the Victims’ Struggle Committee and strive to achieve a concrete consensus on the matter.

Foreign Minister NP Saud urges Uttarakhand Chief Minister to search for missing Nepalis in landslide

Foreign Minister NP Saud has taken prompt action following the confirmation of 17 Nepalis missing in landslides triggered by heavy rains in Uttarakhand, India.

Minister Saud reached out to Chief Minister Pushpakar Singh Dhami, urging him to intensify efforts in searching for the missing individuals.

Reports from Indian media have revealed that 17 Nepali citizens, who had traveled to Gaurikund, Uttarakhand, for employment, went missing during a flash flood caused by continuous rainfall on Thursday night.

Today, Foreign Minister Saud personally contacted Chief Minister Dhami, stressing the importance of swift search and rescue operations for the missing Nepalis in the landslide at Gaurikund, Rudraprayag.

Chief Minister Dhami assured Minister Saud that security personnel and other agencies have already been deployed since morning to search for the missing individuals.

Maoist-Center Deputy General Secretary Pun urges unwavering anti-corruption campaign

CPN Maoist-Center Deputy General Secretary, Barsha Man Pun ‘Ananta,’ has expressed strong support for the anti-corruption campaign initiated by the government led by Party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda.’

Speaking at the party’s central committee meeting in the capital on Saturday, Pun emphasized that the campaign must continue relentlessly, even if it implicates party leaders.

Uttarakhanda landslide: Three Nepali victims identified

Among those Nepalis gone missing in the landslide that occurred at Gaurikund of Rudraprayag in Uttarakhand, India last Thursday, the identity of three persons has been established. They are Tek Bahadur Kami, Prakash Kami and Devi Kami from Kalikot district.

Senior Superintendent of Nepal Police deputed at Nepali Embassy in Delhi, Uma Prasad Chaturvedi, informed that the identity of three Nepalis killed in the landslide at Gaurikunda was ascertained with the help of their relatives.

Hundreds of Nepalis are working at Gaurikunda as laborers and small hotel owners. Coordination with the Indian side is intact to get further details on the landslide and casualties.
