KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said he has directed his entire attention to increasing production and creating employment.

“We should all put in efforts for increasing the production and creating the environment for employment,” he said while addressing to the 97th Senate Meeting of Kathmandu University in Baluwatar today.

The PM lauded the role of Kathmandu University in creating employment opportunities within the country and said: “it is the responsibility of the university to extend cooperation to the government for building an environment for utilizing the human resources it has produced within the country itself.”

Stating that we have become like more engrossed in politics, he remarked the politicization in every sector has relegated the economic, educational and production-related agenda in the back-burner.

The PM opined that wherever there is discipline the development and construction works get prioritized in those places, and the country would make a big leap in terms of development if there is no unnecessary political bickering.

“We can see and know from the experiences of several countries that employment is created and the skilled human resources are prepared through production enhancement and the country can also become economically rich,” Prime Minister Dahal said.

On the occasion, Kathmandu University officials made presentation on the university’s academic programs and the forthcoming agendas.
