KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda today reiterated his stance saying that he has clearly communicated to the Indian side regarding the resolution of the border issue.

“I believe this marks the first occasion where a Nepali Prime Minister has raised the issue with the Indian side in such a gravity,” PM Dahal said while addressing a meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) on Monday.

He said, “Furthermore, I have emphasized that without addressing the border matter, the relationship between Nepal and India cannot reach new heights.”

According to him, both Nepal and India are committed to resolving the border issue, and it is a matter of utmost importance to both nations.

Even Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, too, expressed his commitment to resolve the border issue, PM Dahal said.

“I would like to reiterate that there is no ambiguity regarding any options for resolving the border issue, especially concerning Limpiyadhura, Lipulekh, and Kalapani. I have not presented any specific choices to the Indian side,” he added.

“Nowhere have I proposed any option,” he said, adding, “I have made it clear that Kalapani, Lipulekh, and Limpuyadhura are Nepal’s territory.”

Prime Minister Dahal said that he took a firm position on Nepali territory during his meetings with Indian leaders.
