Minister Basnet announces special health treatment program



KATHMANDU: Newly appointed Minister for Health and Population, Mohan Bahadur Basnet, has said he would always cooperate to serve the people.

Minister Basnet urged all sides to focus their attention to save people in health emergencies.

He also announced a special health treatment program to save the lives of the general people in a collaborative investment of three tiers of government, donor agencies and organizations.

Minister Banset opined that health insurance programs would be made more systematic, effective and trustworthy through health institutions as health insurance programs should be simplified for easy access and facility.

Similarly, he further said the Ministry would optimally mobilize doctors along with means, resources, health equipment and facility in provinces and local levels to facilitate access of the people to health services.

Minister Basnet added a committee would be formed to carry out monitoring of the overall health sector for effective service delivery.
