Electoral Office upholds Rabi Lamichhane’s candidacy, revokes three complaints

KATHMANDU: The Chief Electoral Officer’s office, Chitwan has annulled three complaints filed against Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chairman Rab Lamichhane.

Lamichhane is contesting the by-election set for the House of Representatives member election from Chitwan-2.
With the Electoral Office’s decision, the RSP chair’s candidacy has been validated for the by-election.

Out of the 4 complaints filed against Lamichhane’s candidature, the district electoral office dismissed three as invalid and sent the fourth to the Election Commission for further action.

Chief Electoral Officer of Chitwan, Basudev Sharma, informed that Yuvraj Paudel Safal’s complaint, which had been sent to the office by email, has been sent to the Central Office of the Commission for further action.
