Govt objects UML chair Oli’s remarks against PM Dahal

KATHMANDU: The CPN-Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’-led government has objected to CPN-UML Chairman and former Prime Minister KP Oli’s criticism to it regarding the said proposal to open university in Mustang.

In a statement issued on Sunday, Minister of Communication and Information Technology Rekha Sharma, who is also the spokesperson of the government, said that the former Prime Minister Oli’s remarks on government’s said permission to open a university in Bahragaun Muktikshetra is misleading. She termed them as unacceptable.

In an event held at the UML party office on Saturday, UML Chairman Oli  had said that Prime Minister Dahal betrayed China by allowing India to open a university in Mustang.

Minister Sharma mentioned that a letter has been written to the Indian Embassy asking for help in opening a university in that place and that the matter is under consideration.

“It is sad that such matters are publicized without any facts in a series of cases to criticize the Honorable Prime Minister and the Government of Nepal,” Minister Sharma added ahead.
