Two killed,11 injured in Okhaldhunga road mishap



OKHALDHUNGA: Two people have died in a road accident that took place in Okhaldhunga this morning.

The accident involving a passenger jeep took place near Rahutar in Ward No. 3 of Chishankhugadhi rural municipality.

The deceased have been identified as 70-year-old Bhakta Bahadur Thapa and 52-year-old Min Bahadur Shrestha of the same locality, said Deputy Superintendent of Police of Okhaldhunga, Deepak KC.

Eleven others were injured in the accident of which some were airlifted to Kathmandu for treatment, said Chairperson of the rural municipality Nishant Sharma. Of the injured, the condition of three is reported to be critical.

Details about the incident are yet to arrive, though it has been known that it was carrying 13 passengers, beyond its capacity for five passengers.
