KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) said it will not nominate a candidate for the post of National Assembly Vice Chairperson.

The party has decided to support Maoist Center candidate Urmila Aryal.

A parliamentary committee meeting held this morning at Dhumbarahi, the rented residence of party President Sher Bahadur Deuba, decided to support the Maoist candidate.

NC Chief Whip Ramesh Lekhak said the party decided not to file a nomination for the post of National Assembly Vice Chairperson.
