NC leader Umesh Shrestha asking EC to declare him winner from Chitwan-2

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Umesh Shrestha is going to the Election Commission (EC) demanding that he be automatically declared the winner from Chitwan Constituency-2.

Shrestha is submitting an application to the EC today and inform about it through a press conference at 2 pm in the afternoon.

NC’s Shrestha was defeated by Rabi Lamichhane by a huge margin.

Shrestha garnered 14,988 votes in the last election.

After Lamichhane’s MP position was lost due to the citizenship dispute, Shrestha is going to apply to the EC.
