PM Dahal visiting earthquake-hit Jajarkot with health workers

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister (PM) Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda is set to depart for Jajarkot and Rukum West today (Saturday) morning, accompanied by a team of health workers and essential medicines.

As per reports from his Secretariat, the team, including the Prime Minister, aims to provide vital support in the form of search, rescue, and medical treatment for those affected by the human and material losses following last night’s devastating earthquake in Jajarkot and Rukum West.

Since this morning, at least three helicopters and a Skytruck have been dispatched from Surkhet, along with a dedicated medical team from Salle and Chaurjhahari Airport, to assist in the search, rescue, and treatment of the injured individuals.

Expressing deep sorrow over the magnitude of the human and material damage caused by the earthquake, Prime Minister Dahal urged the representatives of the three security agencies and the local municipality to promptly prioritize the search and rescue efforts for the affected individuals.
