Nepal sees 43 new coronavirus cases, one death in past 24 hours



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 43 new cases of coronavirus and one death in the past 24 hours as of Thursday.

Of the confirmed cases, 33 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 10 through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 1,301 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Of them, 741 samples were tested through RT-PCR and 560 through the Antigen method.

Currently, there are 202 active cases in the country as 43 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

One coronavirus related death was recorded in the past 24 hours, and with this, the COVID-19 death toll in the country climbed to 12,031 to date.
