RSP’s emergency meeting underway in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU: A meeting of the Rastriya Swatantra Party’s (RSP) Central Committee and the Parliamentary Party is underway at Basundhara.

The meeting has been called after the two-day deadline given by the party to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda ends tonight.

It should be noted that Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” earlier on Saturday evening proposed to Rabi Lamichhane to take charge of the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport.

Demanding that the party should get the Ministry of Home Affairs, RSP Chairman Rabi Lamichhane has earlier warned of quitting the government if it did not get the ministry.

Earlier, the meeting of the Central Committee and the Parliamentary Party held on Thursday had decided to give Prime Minister Dahal two days to fulfill the party’s demand.
