NC calls meeting of opposition parties at Singha Durbar



KATHMANDU: The main opposition party Nepali Congress (NC) has called a meeting of the opposition parties.

The meeting is underway at NC’s Parliamentary Party office, Singha Durbar.

Leaders of NC, the Unified Socialist Party, Loktantrik Samajwadi Party, and Rastriya Janamorcha are attending the meeting.

NC has called the meeting of the opposition parties as elections of the President and National Assembly Vice Chairman are approaching.

The election of the National Assembly vice president will be held on February 6, while the President’s election is scheduled for March 9, 2023.

The NC has decided to nominate a candidate for the National Assembly Vice-Chairman on Thursday.
