Ruling coalition partners decide to finalise CMP

A meeting of ruling coalition partners has decided to finalise common minimum program (CMP) of the government. The meeting held at the official residence of the Prime Minister at Baluwatar this evening decided to introduce the government’s common minimum program with a focus on issues related to people at large, corruption control, people’s daily life and other policy-level issues.

Nepali Congress CWC meeting postponed till January 12

Nepali Congress (NC) has postponed the Central Working Committee meeting. The largest party in the parliament NC had called the Central Work Executive Committee meeting for January 6, decided to withhold the meeting. According to NC Chief Secretary Krishna Prasad Paudel, the Central Committee meeting will be held on January 12.

PM Dahal discusses country’s economy with Finance Minister, Governor

Sudurpaschim Province Chief calls parties to stake claim for Chief Minister

The Office of the Sudurpaschim Province Chief has today called on the parties representing in the Province Assembly to stake claim for the post of Chief Minister and the provincial government.  The Province Chief’s call comes as no single party in the Assembly holds majority to form the government in accordance with Article 168 (2) of the Constitution of Nepal and the support of two or more parties is required for this purpose.

Two killed in house fire in Panchthar

Two persons died and two other sustained inquiries in a fire incident that occurred at Phidim Municiplaity-5, Ghumaunetar this morning. Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) at the District Police Office, Hari Khatiwada informed that the fire engulfed the house of Megh Bahadur Gurung, a local, at 1.35 am on Wednesday.
